This year, the focus of our collective work will be on the practice of Embodiment. The Healthy Primal self, viewed through the lens of Earth, is unity in the body through an holistic awareness of the animal senses. By getting in touch with physical sensation we will more readily recognize when something is out of alignment with our Wills. This awareness is the key to acting in abiding integrity.
Primal Ordeal will boast a robust program around our shared interests in heritage arts and sacred kink. Workshops on topics ranging from mask work and body painting to rope technique for ritual work will be offered throughout the weekend. Camp-wide rituals will help create community and sanctify our work. Monitored Temple space will be available both evenings of the event. An open section of forest will be designated for personal ordeal work.
We are very pleased to welcome Darklady (Theresa Reed) as our second Honored Elder.
Becoming Diplomacy: Embodiment as a Lifestyle
Let’s talk about diplomacy. In a jaded society where no one can be trusted, immediate gratification is a virtue, reflexive consumption is patriotic, and aggression is strength, diplomacy can be a hard sell. Yet, sincere and heart-felt diplomacy is the best way to resolve conflict, diffuse tension, gain insight, and develop a workable resolution.
What are the skills one needs to gain or nurture for effective diplomacy, and how does one become proficient in them? Bring your wisdom, curiosity, speaking, and listening abilities to this guided circle discussion on how to embody diplomacy and make it a part of your daily life.

Andrew "Blue" Lain:
Blue is a student of nature and his own place within it. This pursuit and curiosity of emotional truth has lead to him fashioning his own toolbox for ritual and magic. He initiated himself with the help and acknowledgment of tribe as Wyldling. This unique perspective on the flow of energies and 14 years of experience with hook suspension make him the perfect choice to facilitate and experience what your soul craves. As a member of ORBS he has dedicated himself to meeting people where they are at and facilitating the ritual the that they need – guiding people to themselves with passion and compassion. He has trained many of the members of the ORBS crew and recently has taken on the role of leader from the founder of the group, Corvus Black.

Erotic & Ritual Use of Flying Ointments
In this class we will discuss Flying Ointments and other salves historically used by Witches in regards to their ability to bring about altered states of ecstatic bliss. We will touch upon both the magical and mundane as we review the metaphysical AND pharmaceutical components of the various herbs commonly used in the production of magical preparations. In addition, we will discuss the fabled Witch’s Sabbat and explore the rich sexual themes present in historic accounts before learning how we, ourselves, can take part in transcendent flight beyond our own bodies and society’s norms. Walking with the Ancestors: A Dying Ritual
with Sage Thourn
The Element of Earth and the realms of the North are traditionally associated with the lands of the dead. For this closing ritual we will process together into Herland Forest, an area of the land designated for natural burial. Bring an item to include on our altar to the Ancestors. If you wish, come prepared to share the story of someone in your life who has gone on before. Then together we will take a meditative journey into the experience of death and dying.
