Primal Ordeal

Primal Ordeal is a sacred kink festival held at Windward Education & Research center in Wahkiacus, WA. Our mission is to provide a risk-aware space in which to celebrate our Primal Natures and conduct sacred ordeals work in a natural setting.

Meal Plan

     Here at Primal Ordeal, we recognize the importance of food not just in support of the intense physical work in which we may be engaging; but also as a means of building community. One reason we have chosen this location for the event is the presence of an excellent event kitchen, well-appointed to make large-scale food production possible in a camping environment. The Hearth Team, headed up by chef Jonathan Mooney, will be serving the camp by creating healthy and hearty fare to sustain us. Jonathan puts his heart and soul into making food that can only be described as magic!

     We believe that food taken as spiritual sustenance ought to be of the highest possible quality and nutrition. We also recognize the importance of knowing where that food came from. We are coming together at least in part to honor our connection to the earth as a member of the family of animal creatures that live on its face. We assure you that we will take every effort within the constraints of the budget to select sustainable and cruelty-free options. Highest priority will be placed on fresh produce and animal products.

     We will also make efforts to reduce packaging waste by purchasing bulk goods. We will use your festival dollars to support local and small businesses. In the past we have sourced from People's Co-op, Sheridan's Fruit Co. (a family-owned business), and Winco (employee owned).

     This menu will be omnivorous, but healthy (and delicious!) vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Appropriate handling procedures will be followed to ensure that there is no cross-contamination. We respect the opinion of ethical vegans and intend no offense in any way to those who feel called to that path.
